On the first day of Governor of Lemhannas’s courtesy calls to East Java, Prof. Dr. Ir. Budi Susilo Soepandji, D.E.A. came to Eastern Fleet Command (Koarmatim) after presenting general lecture in Sunan Ampel State Islamic University of Surabaya, on Friday (10/2/2012).
Governor of Lemhannas RI Prof. Dr. Ir. Budi Susilo Soepandji, D.E.A.was accepted by Commander of Eastern Fleet Command (Koarmatim) Laksda TNI Ade Supandi at Pangarmatim living room in Nala Mako Koarmatim Building. On this occasion, Governor of  Lemhannas RI was accompanied by Deputy of National Level Leader Education Division  Mayjen TNI Tony S.B. Hoesodo, S.I.P., Deputy of Nationality Values Strengthening Division Laksda TNI Santoso, M.Sc., Ideology Division Analyst Eddy Suyanto, S.T., National Politics Division Professional H. Ario Widjonarko, S.H., M.Sc., General Secretary of the Founding Father House Sahrial Nasution, S.E., and Media Analyst of Founding Father House Dian Permata, S.H.
Meanwhile, Pangarmatim was accompanied by Governor of Navy Academy (AAL) Laksda TNI Agus Purwoto, Navy Education and Commander of Development Command (and Kobangdikal) Laksda TNI Sadiman, S.E., Pangdam V/Brawijaya Mayjen TNI Murdjito and Head of Staff of  Eastern Fleet Command Laksamana Pertama TNI Djoko Teguh Wahojo.

When visiting Eastern Fleet Command, Governor of Lemhannas RI and his team observed KRI Hasanuddin 366 and KRI Nanggala 402 submarine. On KRI Sultan Hasanuddin number 366, Governor of Lemhannas RI was accepted by Commander HSN-366 Letkol Laut (P) Dato Rusman, Governor was explained about radar system and armament by Head of Operation Department at operation control room in KRI HSN-366.
KRI HSN-366 was built by Dutch Schelde shipyard in 2005, which was one out of four ships in Korvet Sigma Class type owned by Navy TNI. The ships which were included in Eastern Fleet Command Eskorta ships have the ability to defend from common ships, other submarines, and aeroplanes.
In addition, Governor of Lemhannas RI Prof. Dr. Ir. Budi Susilo Soepandji, D.E.A. observed KRI Nanggala 402 submarine and was accepted by Submarine Commander of  Eastern Fleet Command, Kolonel Laut (P) Jeffry Stanley Sanggel. On KRI Nanggala-402, Governor of Lemhannas RI observed the radar system and armament in navigation room
KRI Nanggala 402 is in Cakra class submarine. This submarine is the second named Nanggala in Navy TNI. The submarine was made in Germany in 1978 and owned by Navy TNI in 1981. This 22-year old submarine had three times recondition and modern devices assembly in South Korea during 2010 – 2012.
KRI Nanggala-402 adopted the name from Nanggala in Indonesian traditional puppet made by Howaldtswerke, Kiel, Germany using U-209/1300 type. KRI Nanggala-402 was considered one of best submarines in Indonesia and was 1,395 ton in weight, 59.5 meter x 6.3 meter x 5.5 meter in dimension. Using electronic diesel, this submarine can have up to 25 knot in speed.

On KRI Nanggala-402, Governor of Lemhannas RI got a souvenir in a form of submarine miniature from Submarine Commander of  Eastern Fleet Command, Kolonel Laut (P) Jeffry Stanley Sanggel.
