On the first day of Governor courtesy calls in East Java (10th – 11th of February), Governor of Lemhannas RI lectured in Sunan Ampel  State Islamic University of Surabaya on Friday (10/2/2012). Governor of Lemhannas RI was accepted by Rector of Sunan Ampel State Islamic University of Surabaya who is now General Director of Islamic Education in Ministry of Religion of RI Prof. Dr. H. Nur Syam, M. Si. in rectorate room accompanied by  Rector Assistant from Division of Academic and Human Resource Development Prof. Dr. Abdul A’la M. Ag.
Meanwhile, Governor of Lemhannas RI was accompanied by Deputy of National Level Leader Education Division Mayjen TNI Tony S.B. Hoesodo, S.I.P., Deputy of Nationality Values Strengthening Division Laksda TNI Santoso, M.Sc., Ideology Division Analyst Eddy Suyanto, S.T., National Politics Division Professional H. Ario Widjonarko, S.H., M.Sc., General Secretary of the Founding Father House Sahrial Nasution, S.E., and Media Analyst of Founding Father House Dian Permata, S.H.
The general lecture was presented as a follow up of MoU signed by Lemhannas RI and Sunan Ampel State Islamic University of Surabaya on 27th of January 2012 in Lemhannas RI.
General lecture and National Seminar having a theme of: “Pancasila and Students: Student’s Response towards Pancasila” was opened by Rector Assistant from Academic and Human Resource Development Division Prof. Dr. Abdul A’la, M. Ag. The first session was taken over by Governor of Lemhannas RI and Sunan Ampel State Islamic University of Surabaya/General Director of Islamic Studies from Ministry of Religion Prof. Dr. H. Nur Syam, M. Si. with PUSPA  advisor Masdar Hilmi, M.A., P.hd as the moderator.

In his lecture, Governor of Lemhannas RI stated that Indonesia is about to face even more complicated threats. Therefore our national ideology, Pancasila, has an important meaning to form Pancasila based soul and spirit. Agreed with the Governor, General Director of Islamic Studies of Ministry of Religion Prof. Dr. H. Nur Syam, M. Si. Stated that one of key elements in this nation is to hope to the students to deepen their knowledge and appreciation towards Pancasila and at the same time apply and keep the values of Pancasila for the sake of state and nation’s unitary.
After the question and answer session and dialog among the speaker and attendees, the first session was closed by exchanging souvenir between Governor of Lemhannas RI and Rector Assistant from Academic and Human Resource Development division of Sunan Ampel State Islamic University Prof. Dr. Abdul A’la, M. Ag.
This event was hoped to be one of the attempts to keep Pancasila as national pillar. The second session was held after Jumat prayer appointing Masdar Farid Mas'udi from PBNU and a person from Bakesbangpol and Linmas of East Java as speakers.
Governor of Lemhannas RI’s general lecture was also attended by representatives from East Java Police District, rector assistant, lecturers and students with other invitees.
